Miriam Margolyes stands up for Harry Potter co-star Emma Watson for her show of solidarity with Palestine.

Watson joins a growing list of actors from the movie series who have shown support for the Palestinian cause, including Alan Rickman (Professor Snape), Emma Thompson (Professor Trelawney), Jarvis Cocker (Myron Wagtail), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) and Roger Lloyd-Pack (Barty Crouch).

“As in all anti-colonial struggles there is an agonising high price to pay. The death toll and injury rises in Gaza, afflicts Palestinians everywhere from Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Palestinians living within apartheid Israel. The Biden government and Western powers mock Palestinian suffering. The huge people’s protests in the streets of their capitals has been uplifting for the beleaguered Palestinians. They see they are not alone in their struggle for survival.”
